The Steading

The Steading at High Staward was built in the late 18th century as part of a planned farmstead which included a Blacksmith shop, cartshed, gingang and threshing barn, pigsty with poultry loft and dovecote, called a ‘podiggery’. These additions where revolutionary in the 1800s.
